Hi- I’m Jeff, Photographer and owner of Jeffrey S. Hall Photography and Iron Horse Images. My photographic journey began after picking up my older brothers 35 mm camera.  I found the workings of the camera intriguing, my dad noticed my curiosity, and gave me my own camera for Christmas. It all started there…

My growing hobby found me as the high school yearbook photographer and then attended Fort Hayes School of Photography.

After graduation I made the decision to join the U.S. Navy and graduated from the U.S. Naval School of Photography in Pensacola, Florida in 1985.  During my 5 year stint in the Navy I married my High School sweetheart and we welcomed our first daughter. We moved back to Columbus, Ohio in 1990.

I was hired as a staff photographer at Mott’s Photographic Center in Grandview, Ohio.  I had the honor of working with Master Photographer Warren Mott’s of Groveport, Ohio. I owe most of my lighting and composition skills to assisting Warren in many commercial photoshoots and managing his studio’s photographic lab for 5 years.

After welcoming our second daughter and expanding my knowledge and experience working with Mott’s and becoming a member of the Professional Photographers of Ohio. I decided to open my own photography studio in the historic town of Canal Winchester, Ohio. After 20 successful years in Canal Winchester I felt I needed a new image and creative outlet which led me to the welcoming town of Groveport, Ohio.

My studio specializes in High School Seniors, Family, Children, Weddings, Sports, and Commercial photography.  In 2011 I started a new endeavor called Iron Horse Images, which specializes in custom motorcycle photography, to fuse my passion for riding, a hobby I frequent in my free time.

I consider myself blessed to have the opportunity of people inviting me into their lives over the years. I sincerely enjoy seeing families grow and evolve while capturing their most precious memories for years to come!
